After defeating Betis, Barcelona “armours” the top spot

Barcelona has scored the fourth victory in a row in La Liga.

The Catalans triumphed 1:2 in the difficult journey against Real Betis in the remaining matches of the 17th round.

The first half ended scoreless, with both teams having few scoring chances.

In the 65th minute, Raphinha put the visitors ahead, after an assist from Alejandro Balde.

The Catalans’ lead was doubled in the 80th minute when Lewandowski scored.

The locals got back to one in the 85th minute when Kounde scored an own goal.

Then, Betis tried to do something more, but in the end Barcelona grabbed the three points.

With this victory, Barcelona now goes to the quota of 50 points in the first place, eight more than Real Madrid who now has a game less played.

On the other hand, Betis remains sixth with 31 points in total.
