Ronaldo wants Ancelotti to lead Brazil

Brazil have officially begun their search for a new national team coach and one of the candidates they want is Carlo Ancelotti, a report says.

The Selecao were knocked out of the Qatar World Cup in painful fashion, losing to Croatia on penalties in the quarter-finals. After the elimination, coach Tite handed in his resignation, forcing the Brazilian federation to find a suitable replacement.

Reports from the Brazilian media have detailed how former Inter star Ronaldo is playing his part in the decision-making process for Brazil’s new coach, having signed a contract with the CFB for this.

The president of the FA, Ednaldo Rodrigues, would like the former coach of Spain, Luis Enrique, while Ronaldo believes that Ancelotti would be the right solution.

Ancelotti is the first coach to win all the top European leagues and has won the Champions League four times in the past, twice with Milan and twice with Real Madrid. He has a contract with Los Blancos until 2024.
